Obtain a subscription to a vpn via a company that doesn't keep logs, ideally shares public ip so traffic cannot be isolated to a single user and configure it correctly - ie: If the vpn product fails and looses its connection, then it should stop ALL network activity beyond your local subnet or computer. There are a few on the market that provide this and don't care what you use it for.
However the only one I that seems to tick all the boxes is Private Intern et Access. I don't work for them or have any affiliation. They have an inbuilt kill switch if you enable it to stop all traffic if the vpn fails or is disconnected.
You will have to be patient. Although they have servers in Australia, I suggest you do not use them. Why is because the hosting data centres may keep logs of connecting ip under the law your government passed a few months back.
If they do, then there's a risk your connection may be logged. So cover yourself and use a point of present somewhere closer - like Asia.

If you use utorrent to get legit files like OpenOffice and others - I doubt their ISP or letters from DMCA cares about those kinda files.
VPN also keeps logs of your activiies so don't think for one moment they don't know and others will state in their agreement they will terminate VPN accounts if they find torrent usage on them and I seen a poster on here asking why their VPN doesn't work anymore and then find out it's because they used it for torrenting and got their account suspended.
This was a teacher of whom should've known better-their excuse was oh I turned off VPN to use my own internet and I was like how would those of us know that was even true. So don't think VPN will have their rules as well for torrenting and those come with a cost to use VPN.

Pro's There's a mac version. Price is fair. They have a lot of servers globally according to reviews of their services. They claim to not keep logs and share public ip's between many customers. They provide decent encryption Down sides: They are not free. The service will fall over from time to time. So enable the kill switch.
